Ascending to the top of this hill, you will find, almost 300 meters above sea level, the Cruz de Lobeira Viewpoint. It is crowned by a huge metal cross, which was erected to pay tribute to the victims of the sea. You will also see here a plaque from the British Admiralty, which remembers the sailors who died as a result of the sinking of the training ship Serpent, in November 1890.

Along with its symbolism, you will enjoy one of the most spectacular panoramic views of the area. From the Cruz de Lobeira Viewpoint you can see both the Ría de Arousa and the green Val do Salnés, and even the island of Ons, the isthmus of O Grove or the Sierra del Barbanza -as long as it is a clear day.
