Wine tourism
Vilanova de Arousa is part RÃas Baixas Wine Route. This is a non-profit association that features food and wine tourism centred on the wines of the RÃas Baixas Designation of Origin. Wineries that can be visited, restaurants, accommodation establishments and leisure activities make up the main optons of this entity that, in addition, organizes various types of wine tourism activities throughout the year.
In Vilanova de Arousa there are three wineries, which offer guided tours of their facilities so that you can learn about their wine-making process. The tour will end with a tasting of their products, thus completing the wine tourism experience:
Seafood
Vilanova de Arousa offers you a sea of flavours, with shellfish being the star product. To taste our municipal district’s two main products in a great variety of recipes, you must visit the Mussel and Cockle Festival, which is held on the second weekend of August.
