By Road
Santiago de Compostela and Vigo are less than an hour’s drive away; Pontevedra, just over half an hour away and the nearest train station, in VilagarcÃa de Arousa, just 15 minutes away.
Vilanova can be accessed by the A-9 motorway, taking Exit 119 and then the VRG-4.1 expressway, towards Cambados. This road links directly with the VRG-4.3 expressway, which has an exit leading straight to the municipal district. Vilanova can also be reached by taking the C-549 regional road.

At the Mar de Santiago Ferry Terminal you can take a boat to Pontecesures, going up the Ulla River and following the Traslatio route, discovering 12 of the 17 stone crosses that you will come across along the eway. It is the only maritime-river Way of the Cross in the world.

By Plane
Vilanova de Arousa is 51 kilometres from Santiago’s RosalÃa de Castro-Lavacolla  Airport and 60 kilometres from Vigo’s Peinador Airport. Both can be accessed by high-capacity roads or by public transport.

Vilanova de Arousa has a carsharing service. One of the two electric vehicles available can be rented by the hour. You can pick them up at Rúa José González Sanisidro (next to the Multipurpose Pavilion).
To make the reservation, you must download the Mobilize Share App and request your vehicle. To use it, you must leave a deposit of € 150, and you can rent it for a maximum of 24 hours.
