Vilanova de Arousa welcomes many visitors during the summer months. And to offer residents and visitors quality leisure options, it holds its Summer Sonatas program annually.
An initiative that has just ended with the patron saint festivities of A Pastoriza, which filled the municipal district with all kinds of cultural and leisure options. There were more than twenty initiatives launched from June 22 to last Monday, September 16, with the closing of the patron saint festivities.
This extensive programme has been, once again, a success in terms of attendance. Its programme included numerous musical performances, cultural, sports and gastronomic initiatives, as well as other events.
Among the most outstanding events was the Festivalle Theatre Festival.From 8 to 11 July, Vilanova attracted numerous lovers of the performing arts and the works of Valle-Inclán, which were performed in the auditorium by leading companies from different parts of Spain.
No less important was the 30th Mussel and Cockle Festival, which featured an extensive program between August 9 and 11. Gastronomy, shopping, leisure, tradition and culture were combined in four intense days featuring the excellent taste of Vilanova’s two star products.
And as a culmination to this program, the patron saint festivities of A Pastoriza. Just like every year, the events included the traditional procession as well as music by orchestras and groups.
