The House<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Camba Brothers House-Museum is located in the Vilamaior neighbourhood, a stone's throw from the park called Jard\u00edn Umbr\u00edo.<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

You will see a two-floor<\/strong> stone building, whose design reflects Galicia\u2019s typical coastal style<\/strong>, characterized by its masonry walls. <\/strong>On the outside<\/strong> you can see a coat of arms<\/strong> quartered in the form of a cross with ornamental elements, a faithful witness to the building\u2019s noble origin<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The house features a traditional exterior stairway<\/strong>, covered by a small roof. In addition to providing access to the main house<\/strong>, its landing<\/em> had various functions<\/strong>: from a meeting point for chatting to a place for hanging clothes. It is said that, in the past, this area was covered, being the place where the Camba brothers\u2019 father worked as a doctor.<\/p>

Like any traditional house of the time, the ground floor<\/strong> was used to house<\/strong> animals<\/strong>. In addition, tackle and tools<\/strong> related to fishing<\/strong> were kept here. This space also served as a small laboratory<\/strong>, where the father<\/strong> of these two Vilanova writers made pharmaceutical formulas<\/strong> as part of his medical work.<\/p>

At the end of the 1970s<\/strong>, the house<\/strong> fell into a state of abandonment<\/strong>. A few years later, Vilanova Town Council <\/strong>purchased it and rehabilitated it<\/strong> to turn it into a Municipal Library<\/strong>. It was at the end <\/strong>of the 1990’s <\/strong>when it was decided to convert this building into the Camba Brothers<\/strong> House-Museum<\/strong>, thereby preserving the valuable legacy of both writers<\/strong> by means of an extensive exhibition site.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
